A fierce fire destroyed a number of market stalls in Phnom Penh early this morning.
At midnight on September 5, 2022, at 11:40 AM, a fire broke out in Phsar Touch (Tuol Sangke) on Street 901 in Sangkat Toul Sangke I, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
According to local sources, the flames first appeared on the coffee stalls and spread to other stalls, much to the surprise of the neighbors.
Onlookers took fire hoses, buckets and small water pipes from home and worked together to break through stall doors to spray and spray water.
After a while did a professional force come out to the fire to quell the flames
Police say that 5 stalls were destroyed – but fortunately, no-one was injured.
