Four houses razed in predawn fire

Four houses along Tonle Sap Road in Doeum Kor village in Chroy Changva commune, Chroy Changva district, Phnom Penh, were razed early this morning.
No injuries were reported in the 4.30am fire but hundreds of foodstuffs and other provisions were destroyed.
One of the affected houseowner said she saw a short circuit in the house and it sparked a fire and the flames started to spread.
She said she and her neighbor rushed to remove provisions and personal items while neighbours called the fire department.
Anyway, after receiving the information form resident that a fire was burning in many houses in Chroy Changvar district,
The fire prevention and rescue police of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police responded and dispatched 16 fire trucks to battle the blaze that had engulfed four houses.
The firemen managed to prevent the fire from spreading.
