Six homes burned in Toul Kork fire

At least six homes were completely engulfed by fire and many properties were destroyed, during a fire that happened in Phnom Penh’s Toul Kork District.

The incident happened at 9:30 a.m. on April 13 at St. 247, Village 10, Group 27, Sangkat Boeung Salang, Khan Toul Kork. This is according to the report of the Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, which was obtained by local media.

According to the report, the fire was started in the home of Un Kruy, a 78-year-old housewife. The fire was caused by a faulty wire. The fire then spread to five neighbouring houses.

Authorities had to use multiple trucks to quell the fire. According to eyewitnesses, the fire completely engulfed the six homes, but there were no injuries.
