Fire rages in Khan Russey Keo

At around 11:00 a.m. today, there was a fire that occurred at St. 598 in Sangkat Chrang Chamres 2, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.

According to reports from local news, the relevant authorities worked to extinguish the blaze. There are no details as of yet on the cause or the events leading to the fire.

According to eyewitnesses of the fire that happened this morning, smoke began to billow out of a warehouse until it a huge fire was seen. The sight of the fire alerted people and they scrambled to help extinguish the flame. Others called authorities and reported the incident.

The Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, Col. Prohm Yorn, reported that after receiving information from residents, he immediately ordered several fire trucks and ambulance to rush to the scene.

It took the combined force of the fire fighters and residents 2 hours to completely extinguish the blaze.
